What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment method designed to straighten teeth and correct various dental misalignments. Unlike traditional braces, which use metal wires and brackets, Invisalign employs a series of clear, removable aligners made from a specialized medical-grade thermoplastic material called SmartTrack®. This material offers both comfort and transparency, allowing the aligners to blend seamlessly with your teeth while providing the necessary strength for effective tooth movement.
How Does Invisalign Work?
Invisalign begins with a 3D scan of your teeth using iTero Element 5D Plus Scanner, which forms the basis for a virtual treatment plan. A series of aligners is then custom-designed to progressively shift your teeth as per the treatment plan. In some cases, Attachments are bonded on to your teeth surfaces. These attachments serve as anchor points for the aligner trays, helping them exert precise and controlled forces to shift teeth into their desired positions. Each aligner is typically worn for one to two weeks before transitioning to the next, ensuring steady progress.

Plans and Cost of Invisalign
- Invisalign Express : This plan is suitable for individuals with very minor orthodontic concerns, such as minor crowding, minor spacing (small gap between teeth) or relapse issues.
- Invisalign Lite : This plan is designed for mild to moderate dental misalignment cases.
- Invisalign Essentials is suitable for mild cases such as slightly crooked, protruding, gapped, or crowded teeth. This plan allows tooth movement up to the premolars and is ideal for those without major bite issues or who have had orthodontic treatment before and now need minor adjustments.
- Invisalign Moderate : This is the recommended plan for individuals with moderate dental misalignments and bite issues.

Step-by-Step Guide for Invisalign at Bangkok New Smile
Here is a simplified five-step guide to help you understand what to expect, from your initial consultation to the completion of your treatment:
Step 1: Initial Consultation
The first step is to schedule an initial consultation with our orthodontists. During this appointment, we will thoroughly assess your dental condition, discuss your goals, and determine if Invisalign is the right solution for you. Our orthodontist will present you with a detailed possible treatment plan, including an estimated timeline for your Invisalign treatment as well as discussing the cost of the treatment, including any available financing options
Step 2: 3D Scanning with iTero Scanner
Once you decide to proceed with Invisalign, we will take precise digital impressions of your teeth using our advanced iTero 5D Plus scanner. This technology eliminates the need for messy traditional molds, ensuring an accurate and comfortable experience. These digital impressions serve as the foundation for your personalized treatment plan.
Step 3: Custom Treatment Plan
2 Weeks after Step 2, you will have the opportunity to visualize your possible results by Invisalign ClinCheck and discuss any specific concerns or preferences. This 3D treatment plan simulation will outline the gradual movement of your teeth throughout the course of your Invisalign treatment. Once your treatment plan is finalized, we will then process with your Invisalign production.
Step 4: Receiving Your Invisalign Kit
Once your Invisalign aligners are ready, you will return to Bangkok New Smile to receive your first set of aligners. The dentist will ensure that they fit properly and provide you with instructions on how to wear and care for them. You will be instructed to wear each set of aligners for approximately 20-22 hours a day, removing them only when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
Step 5: Treatment Progress and Completion
Throughout the treatment process, you will have periodic check-up appointments with the dentist at Bangkok New Smile. These appointments will typically occur every 4-6 weeks. During these visits, the dentist will assess your progress and provide you with new sets of aligners to continue the treatment. After completing the active phase of your Invisalign treatment, you will need to wear retainers to maintain the results. Bangkok New Smile will provide you with retainers. The retainers will help prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original positions.
